Next up for Wheatland-Chili will be the second Class C crossover game, vs Marion tomorrow night at Penfield HS. Kickoff time is TBD.
OA/E will have another chance to prove their abilities in a couple of weeks, but what they’ve done to date has been mighty impressive.
They fell in the title game in 2017, but are returning to the final round this year as they hope to avenge that loss.
Moving forward Batavia will look ahead to a matchup with #3 Wayne in the Class B Final, as the Eagles upset #2 Livonia 24-21 after being down 21-0 in the first half.
It was the second-straight upset victory for the Knights, who have now beaten the #3 seed and #2 seed and won a total of five-straight games.
Down late in the game vs #4 Wayland-Cohocton last week, and tied late in the game vs #1 East Rochester/Gananda yesterday, the Blue Devils mounted up and put together two game-winning drives for the history books.
